1. PHENOL  Nomination for July is US$1,850/MT CFR China including ADD which is roll over from June nomination because the same background as June is expected in July. The June ACP has not been fixed due to the big price gap between the nomination and buying idea.  Benzene-ACP:June US$1,310/MT is increased by $170 from May price at US$1,140/MT. July price seems to be settled at almost the same level as June fixture.  Phenol domestic price in China is going up in accordance with domestic raw material price hike and price increase of import cargoes that have been settled at CFR $1,750 (15,000 - 15,500 RMB).  20% of Production cut is continued in Japan and Singapore until the margins improve to the appropriate level.  Deep-sea cargoes are limited due to also reduced operation in Europe and US that is currently estimated at around 80% of operation rate. 2. ACETONE  Our ADD was decreased by 4.7% to 7.2%.  Our July Nomination price is US$1,395/MT CFR China including ADD, and due to the price difference we did not fix any deals in June. This nomination is referring to the forecasts of the price level of raw material and reduced operation rate in Asia.  Acetone manufactures in USA increased their price by $130 to $1179. However, the July fixed price of C3 is already over $1550/MT. Acetone manufactures in USA have announced to raise the price by minimum $400 effective from July 1 to cover the cost up of C3.  Further, Acetone balance in Asia will be tight because of the recent series of shut-down maintenance and production cuts in Asia and limited cargoes from Europe and USA.

Gee, it seems that the raw materials for BPA are going up sharply. How come the mainland BPA price on RMB hasn't responded that much? I guess probably there are large quantity of deep sea cargos coming recently which have diluted the optimistic atomsphere. Hopefully in the long run, there might have some chance of going up again.
