Taiwan's Chang Chun Petrochemical has started production at its new 135,000 tonne/year bisphenol A (BPA) line in Kaohsiung ahead of schedule.The new line was started late last week and their aim was to see how the market situation is before running the plant at full rates.The current rate of production of the new line was not specified yet. The start up of the new line, originally scheduled to begin in early September, has brought ChangChun’s total BPA nameplate capacity to 270,000 tonnes/year. 台湾长春石化已在上周末重启了其高雄年产13万5的新BPA装置。目前的开工率尚不明确。开工的目的只是为了明确市场形势，为全负荷运作埋下伏笔。随着新装置的启动，长春BPA的产能已达27万。
