An industry source based in South Korea informed a polymerupdate team member that a maintenance turnaround will be undertaken at an Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) plant operated by Hanwha Chemicals, South Korea. The source said, "located at Ulsan, South Korea, the plant has a production capacity of 70,000 mt/year. The plant will undergo a maintenance turnaround towards the end of April 2010. The shutdown is expected to last for around three weeks." The source added, "at present, the plant is running at full capacity rates."
