China-based Zhanjiang Dongxing Petroleum Co, a subsidiary of Sinopec, is expected to start up its new 140,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant within the month.
Some market sources said the facility would be commissioned next week.
The PP line would take feedstock propylene from the company’s 100,000 tonne/year gas fractionation unit, the source said.
Zhanjiang Dongxing, which is based in the Guangdong province in southern China, has a 5m tonne/year refining capacity.(ICIS)
