DSM shuts Indonesia melamine plant until market improves

DSM Kaltim Melamine (DKM) has shut its 60,000 tonne/year melamine plant in Bontang, Indonesia early last week and will keep the unit idle until the market situation improves. “It was a capacity reallocation in view of the soft business conditions. We are going to shut our Indonesia operation and run the Netherlands melamine unit at full capacity,” the source said.
