China’s Xiang Lu Petrochemical restarted its 1.65m ton/year PTA plant in Xiamen yesterday after a 9-day maintenance shutdown. “The plant started up again yesterday on Sunday, and now we have it running normally". The plant was shut partly due to shortage in feedstock paraxylene. Xiang Lu is one of the largest PTA producers in China, alongside Hualian Sunshine Petrochemical, Sinopec and Yisheng Petrochemical.
