Thai Siam-Mitsui to shut PTA unit in Nov for maintenance

According to ICIS,Thai PTA maker Siam Mitsui will shut one of its three production units located in Mab Ta Phut, Thailand, in the second half of November for scheduled maintenance turnaround.The company was currently running all three lines, with a nameplate capacity of 1.4m tonnes/year of PTA, at around 100%. The maintenance shutdown would result in the overall month’s production rate being reduced to 80-85%.
