Taiwan's Formosa Chemical & Fiber Corp (FCFC) has been running its 600,000 tonne/year PTA plant in Ningbo, China at more than 120% of nameplate capacity since late February. After a series of technical glitches, FCFC restarted the Ningbo PTA unit last month and managed to run it at near-full capacity around mid-February. FCFC also operates two 500,000 tonne/year PTA lines at Mailiao and a 670,000 tonne/year facility at Loong-der in Taiwan.
