China’s Yizheng Chemical Fiber has restarted its 350,000 tonne/year PTA line this week, and also resumed operation of its 550,000 tonne/year line in Jiangsu province following a two-day outage caused by feedstock shortages. Another source said the company has also restarted its 350,000 tonnes/year unit at the same Yizheng site earlier on Monday after it was taken off line in early March due to feedstock paraxylene shortage. Both the PTA plants are expected to run at full nameplate capacity in the next few days.
