China’s Huaxiang Chlor-Alkali Chemical restarted its 30,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant at Liaocheng in Shandong province on Thursday after a prolonged shutdown. The unit was taken off line on 24 October due to a technical glitch and was scheduled to restart in early November.However, the restart was delayed due to weak market conditions. The company suspended its offers following the restart as it was monitoring the market closely in light of low inventory levels and recent surge in domestic prices.
