S Korea’s Hanwha to shut Yeosu caustic soda unit in May

South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical plans to shut its 550,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in Yeosu for a scheduled turnaround in May. The plant would be shut for 12-15 days starting in mid-May. Hanwha also runs a 240,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in Ulsan, which will undergo a turnaround in the second half of the year.
