Iran’s Kharg Petrochemical Company plans to restart its 660,000 tonne/year natural gas-based methanol plant in Kharg Island by September. The plant was taken off line for scheduled maintenance on 22 July. The purpose of the maintenance was to change the catalyst and solve other technical problems that the plant had been experiencing.
