China’s Tianji plans methanol plant restart by end-Aug

China’s Tianji Lu’an Chemical Co plans to restart its new 300,000 tonne/year methanol facility in Shanxi province by the end of August. The plant in northern China was started up in June but production was halted shortly afterwards. The company did not say why it had to shut down the plant. It uses coal oven gas as a feedstock.
