China’s Puyang Longyu has restarted its 200,000 tonne/year methanol plant in Henan province last weekend. The company has two methanol units at the site which had been shut since December due to poor economics. “We restarted the big one [200,000 tonne/year], but we don’t know when we can start the small one [120,000 tonne/year]”.
