Russia's overall fertilizer exports fell year on year in the January to October,2009. The country's potash exports were down 68.0% year on year to 2.52m tonnes, while the export value fell 61.3% to $1.21bn, (€0.82bn). Exports of nitrogen mineral fertilizers increased 18.9% year on year to 9.36m tonnes as its export value fell 37.6% to $1.69bn compared to the same period last year, according to the statement. Russia's exports of mixed mineral fertilizers were up by 3.6% to 5.21m tonnes, while the export value fell 56.4% to $1.56bn from last year. Ammonia exports were 30.0% down to 2.37m tonnes, while the export value slumped down to $46m from $1.47bn. Synthetic rubber exports were down 11.0% to 508,000 tonnes, and exports value fell 49.8% to $867m.
