South Korea’s SK Energy will restart its Ulsan-based paraxylene No1 facility with a capacity of 350,000 tonnes/year on 11 December after a month-long turnaround. Meanwhile, the company’s No2 PX facility at the same site was operating at nearly full capacity. The source said minor maintenance work would be carried out on the two units in the first quarter of 2010 but no dates have been firmed up yet.
